Windows on Washington Wedding | Amy & Drew

Amy and Drew’s wedding reception at Windows on Washington in St. Louis, MO was one I won’t soon forget.

Amy and Drew are a fun-loving, adventurous, outdoorsy couple. When I photograph a couple, I wish for laughter, connection, and down-to-earth brides with big hearts for the people in their lives. This is Amy and Drew! I knew from their engagement session in Towne Park that they were my people!

The day started at Amy’s childhood church, Bethel Lutheran in Kirkwood, MO. In the brides getting ready room the first thing I said to Amy was, “we are embracing these books” and she was thrilled! As Amy’s mom helped her into her dress you could see the anticipation growing in Amy’s eyes. She was about to marry the love of her life! As I went to photograph Drew next, he was calm, cool, and collected.

 

The coins were Amy’s “something old”. They were her grandfathers.

Amy gifted this lay to her father before their father-daughter dance. It was the sweetest. I’ve never seen a dad so proud!

Amy is a dietician (Check out her work at Satisfy Nutrition) so you know we had to take photos of the food! haha

I love this dance! It’s the Parent Dance. Having both sets of parents dance together was pure genius! On wedding day, parents are all dressed up, why not make them the center of attention! <3 It makes for great photos too!
