This Klondike Park surprise proposal was everything Jessica had ever hoped for and more. The weather in St. Charles was nothing short of perfect.

My husband and Chris went to school together at St Charles West High School. When he called me to tell me he was proposing, I knew he was nervous. His voice was like that of a 3rd grade boy about to profess his love for his crush for the first time.

He decided to tell Jessica that Chris purchased a couples session for her Christmas gift. *This is a fantastic way to surprise the one you love with a proposal because chances are she is dressed to the 9’s and her nails will be done already!

How He Asked

Chris and I decided that his prompt wold me to get a few images of Jessica by herself for her business headshots for her company Satins and Sashes by telling her “Let’s wrap this session up with some headshots”. That gave him some time to get the gorgeous ring in hand. Tears began flowing immediately after she realized what he was doing. She could not stop staring at it as he put it on her finger and asked her to be his wife. (I couldn’t either, holy moly!) Of course she said YES, right after she finished jumping up and down with excitement.
